Improving skills and confidence, one child at a time
Rooted in the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to excel, our approach to educational development is inclusive of all children, particularly those with special needs.
We are equipped to support diverse learning needs due to extensive training in the following:
Autism (including Pathological Demand Avoidance - PDA)
Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)
Dyscalculia (learning challenges in math)
Dyslexia (learning challenges in literacy)
Learning together
My philosophy and pedagogy focuses on inclusivity and engagement. Some of my priorities include:
Hands-on practice
Multisensory teaching
Structured and systematic instruction
Gamification
Student-led learning
Independence in problem solving
Neuro-affirming, respectful interventions
In our 1-on-1 sessions, we prioritize foundational math skills, ensuring that each student develops a strong understanding of essential concepts. Our specialized, hands-on approach tailors instruction to meet the individual needs of every learner, making it ideal for students of all backgrounds, including those with special needs.
Utilizing the UFLI (University of Florida Literacy Institute) curriculum, our 1-on-1 sessions are designed to develop essential reading skills through personalized instruction. The UFLI curriculum emphasizes evidence-based strategies and interactive activities that engage students, helping them build confidence and proficiency in reading.
